Rosa Winkel

M. Dufranne, M. Vicanovic-Maza, C. Lerolle

Advertising designer and art teacher, Andreas is gay. But, in the Berlin of the 30s, he is among those deemed 'undesirable' by the times. When the "brown plague" gradually invades the streets, laws are enacted and Andreas experiences physical and legal violence. He is sent to prison because of his sexual preference, then to a concentration camp. Andreas survives the abuse and is released but even after the war, he does not find rest. He begins a new fight for his rehabilitation. This fight will be won by resignation and the betrayal of his identity. Like many other homosexuals, throughout history, he will wear the "pink triangle". To comply with civil society, he will marry a lesbian and educate her child. Despite the denial of self for so many years, Andreas never forgets that he was one of them.
