Death of an informer

W.J. Watherby, Will Perry

Taylor is a young white man from Nola, who moves to 42nd Street in New York due to a desire to escape from his oppressive southern upbringing and a taste for sex with rough black men that can be easily satisfied on "the Deuce." However, with the help of a former army buddy, and lover, named Boy Ronnie, Taylor gets caught up with a handful of other African-American criminals. As a well-spoken and intelligent white man, Taylor gets the job as the courier of cocaine to affluent white clients. When one of the links in the chain is turned in, however, Taylor being an outsider - both homosexual and white - leads to his murder on suspicion of turning in his fellow cocaine courier. Death of an informer is a novel of harsh realities and the nightmare world of desperation and despair.
