R. Maugham
A film company intends to make a film based on the life of Daphne Moore. But the permission of Norman Hartleigh is needed if he is to be depicted. Hartleigh ignores all communications, and David Brent sets out for Tanganyika to find him and secure his consent. As the story unfolds itself Brent discovers the true relationship between Hartleigh and Moore. He also finds that he has arrived at a moment of acute crisis in the lives of Hartleigh and his young companion, Bill Wayne.
