A novel with a homosexual theme concerning Don, a floorwalker in a man's shop, who becomes almost hopelessly involved with Ray, an older man and the brain behind a criminal gang. When a daring bank robbery is planned, Don is used as a decoy. When on the day of the raid a young cashier resist and is shot, Don finds his affections more and more centred on the wounded cashier.
