Gendering : an examination of if and how the policies of the Netherlands reinforce the gender binary and how this affects those who defy these categories

This research examines the extent to which the government and the gender clinics in the Netherlands recognize the possibility of people that see themselves as neither entirely male nor female and the extent to which they acknowledge and meet the needs of these people. Interviews conducted both in-person and online, with the discovery that there is still a wide divide between this group of people and the actions of the gender clinics.
