This paper examines the existence and pervasiveness of a drag qeen culture in Amsterdam. Ultimately there is no drag queen community in Amsterdam though there are sustainable institutions in place in Amsterdam that incorporate and encourage displays of drag. However much of these institutions cater to a heterosexual male audience and therefore not intended for the drag queens in Amsterdam.
