Jacobs wound : homoerotic narrative in the literature of ancient Israel
T. Jennings
Too often those few passages of the Bible, both Testaments, that refer to same-sex sexual behavior have been used to devalue people of homosexual orientation. The book, written from what its author describes as a "queer perspective," is divided into four parts: "The Love of Heroes," "YHWH's Male Groupies," "Transgendering Israel," and "Questions." Elisha, the man of God, betrays the friendship of his hosts, first by committing adultery with his friend's wife and then having begotten her son, adding incest and pedophilia to his sheet.
