Zerheilt : Life.Stories
F. Brenner, O. Myers, B. Bonnie
In 2016, French photographer Frédéric Brenner launched a three-year project to document contemporary Jewish life in Berlin. He photographed a wide range of people, some had made the German capital their home, others were travelling through. This booklet is from the exhibition 'Zerheilt - Photo Fragments of Berlin' that took place in the Jewish Museum Amsterdam from September 2022 until March 2023. The exhibition walks you through the diversity of Jewish life in Berlin and explores the complexity of Jewish-German history. One of the life stories in this booklet is about Roey Victoria Heifetz, a trans woman and artist from Jerusalem who lives in Berlin.
