Lufträume / Nils Engelmann

Nils Engelmann

On a dark November day at half past six in the morning, a world breaks down for Nils Engelmann. In a search operation, the police confiscated child porn videos, photos and other "catchy" materials in his apartment. While the journalist and social worker is waiting for his conviction, he begins to look back at his life so far - and to make it clear that there is a difference between pedophilia and child sexual abuse. Nils Engelmann's strongly autobiographical novel is not meant to excuse or gloss over anything. He wants to be "the transparent pedo", because after a lot has been written about his peers, it is time for those affected to speak up with their experiences, longings, pain and hopes.
