It is 1837. Peter Warren is seduced by the enigmatic nobleman Richard Bankworth. He is promised an escape from his life of poverty, on the London streets, but there is a terrible price to pay. Wrongly convicted of theft, he is transported to Australia -- a savage land where a young man with good looks has to live by his wits among the sex-starved unfortunates and their guards.
