The novel begins at the French countryside of the nineteenth century, which suddenly becomes the field of Colchagua, Chile. It is an allegorical work that recreates Juan de Warni, a vile character, sodomite, traitor and murderer, which spans over three generations, between the Second French Empire and the last days of World War II World.
