Male and female homosexuality: a comprehensive investigation

Marcel T. Saghir, Eli Robins

The Saghir-Robins material opens up new vistas concerning male and female homosexuality. Most male homosexuals give a history of having been considered "sissies" as far back as early childhood and most female homosexuals as having been considered tomboys. Are effeminate or "sissy" male homoseuxals the same as or different from non-effeminate or non-sissy homosexuals, and are masculine or tomboyish female homosexuals the same or different from non-masculine or non-tomboyish female homosexuals? The present work suggests that further social, psychologic, biologic or psychiatric research would have a better probability of success if there two groups were handled independently.
