The PRECIS approach to hiv/aids entails a focus on five intertwined and interconnected components: 1. Capacity building of LGBT organizations in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region, 2. Empowering LGBT communities, 3. Implementing gender-sensitive hiv/aids prevention campaigns, 4. Monitoring sexual behaviour, 5. Lobbying for and advocating LGBT-inclusive policies aimed at preventing hiv/aids and other sti, and human rights protection. This booklet gives the successes achieved over the 2006-2011 period.
